Due to an expansion in work within the Leicester area, we are inviting applications from those suitably qualified and experienced who may wish to broaden their horizons and experience new ventures in their careers.

 

We are looking for Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Paramedics, Emergency Care Assistants (ECA), and Ambulance Care Assistants (ACA) with a clean work record and suitable experience to work in this area.

 

Paramedics are required to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience (post NQP period), and previous NHS Ambulance Service experience is desirable. Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (L3CERAD) or the previous IHCD BTEC level 3 in Emergency Ambulance Driving with evidence of recent driving assessments. A C1 licence is desirable for the role, but not mandatory. A clean work record is essential for the role. Up to date continual professional development (CPD) is a pre-requisite for the post, and candidates invited to interview are expected to produce evidence of this, along with original professional qualifications.

 

Emergency Care Assistants (ECA) & Ambulance Care Assistants (ACA) must have as a minimum, QA Level 4 Certificate in First Response in Emergency Care (RQF) or FutureQual Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support (RQF). A minimum of 2 years’ experience is required, and previous NHS Ambulance experience is preferable. You will also need Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving (L3CERAD) or the previous IHCD BTEC level 3 in Emergency Ambulance Driving with evidence of recent driving assessments. A C1 licence is desirable for the role, but not mandatory. A clean work record is essential. Evidence of CPD is also required from applicants, along with original professional qualifications.

 

All posts are being offered on a variety of Permanent, Variable Hours and Casual contract basis and are PAYE positions with the company who are IR35 compliant. This includes various benefits such as a workplace pension scheme, paid holidays, paid for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) application, a comprehensive suite of online CPD.  Where required, good quality accommodation and living allowance will be supplied if working away from home outside of the Leicester area.

 

With all the roles advertised above daily work includes managing ambulance admissions into the ED, taking handovers from crews, performing tasks such as phlebotomy, cannulation, 12-lead ECG, the usual patient observations, patient assessments, and inter-hospital transfers.

 

Current rates of pay are:

 

  • Paramedics: £27.00 per hour (£30.00 Weekends)

 

  • ECA/ACA: £15.00 per hour (£16.60 Weekends)

 

  • Bank Holidays paid at +50%
